Most of them is fishing in the Gulf this weekend so maybe start your thread next week

That's a place you keep driving through to get to somewhere with ducks. Got lots of deer and turkeys and now bears. But ducks I would imagine are pretty spotty other than on the river and even then, that would be hard. Now if you've got a moon lake... yeah.

The north winds from winter fronts blow the water out of the marsh. The later into winter the less chance of having water in the duck ponds.

I'd much rather see that East Zone youth hunt before the season, like last year and year before. There's a reason all of them were moved back to before the season bc they used to be after. Birds are dumber early in season, weather not as cold so kids have a better chance of being successful and not miserable. The public opinion surveys showed that 40% of EZ hunters wanted it before the season, 16% wanted it after, yet this change is still proposed?? There's a reason the other zones similarly voted for it being before the season and were granted it in the proposed dates. If you have an opinion on this issue, either way, let Mr. Reynolds know before the August meeting when the dates will be finalized.
