Kind of strange but I had an issue with floaters for several years and it was pretty bad. However for the last few years I have virtually none. I am 46 and they are pretty much gone now.

I really have done nothing other than I am now BP medicine. BP still runs about 175/100 even on Cardizem (SP?)....yeah I know. They keep telling to expect a stroke but I am taking the meds....not sure what else I can do.

How is your BP?

Yes. I am in no way inclined to have the surgery as of today. But they can be treated. My condition is a bit different. I had a small retinal tear and subsequent bleed that has left a large "floater" along with the rest of my regular ones. I'll have to give it some thought whether or not I want to take care of it.

go to a retina and vitreous specialist they can do an in-office laser repair of the tear, completely painless. I had mine done two weeks ago and the floaters have cleared (it was blood)
