LINK

Any resident who turned sixty (60) years of age on or after June 1, 2000 must obtain a senior fishing/hunting license to hunt or fish. This license does not include special gear such as trawls, crab traps, crawfish traps, hoop nets, etc.

Cost = $5.00 per year.

I think you can just do it over the internet. It'll save you the trip in the morning. You just have to write down the code they give you after you pay and have that or print something out, I forget how you do it exactly.

Yea, online is definitely the way to go. I haven't bought a license from a store in 3 or 4 years. You just select what you want, pay by credick card, and print the receipt page that has the transaction or confirmation number, whatever they call it. I just do it as insurance though, because they also email you your receipt which has the number on it, and I can just pull up the email on my phone if I get stopped. If you get stopped you just need that number for them to confirm you have a license. And the physical license (just like you'd buy from wal marks) comes in within a week usually.

I got my old man a codger lifetime license for $50 a couple of years ago when he turned 65. He may croak before it pays for itself, but anything to avoid the annual hassle of sitting in line, buying freshwater/saltwater, etc. They make them buy one just to get the numbers up for the Pittman/Robertson tax revenue sharing.

Just a thought. Makes a nice gift idea for birthday/Christmas.
