Anyone have any experience with any inshore/bay guides in Destin. ?

Looking for something easier and quicker than deep sea.

Thanks

THey speak the truth. Ran into a bunch of blue fish once, never a speck or red.
And why would you spend money for the possibility of keeping five specks

I mean all they do is catch ten to fifteen specks and it’s a great day. If your going redfishing they just park under the bridge and by the coast gaurd station

If you want something cheaper and easy look into a guided kayak trip. I went with Nick Lytle with Navarre Kayak Fishing. It was $200 a person. I felt a lot better about paying that than $500 for a boat charter. We caught 13 trout and had a really good time. He has a fleet of Old Town Predator PDLs that are comfortable fishing in. They also offer offshore kayak trips for $300.

The Florida inshore limits are terrible though. 5 trout with a 15” minimum and 1 Redfish between 18” and 26” I believe.

I went off shore with O Sea D out of Destin last week. Took 30 min or less to get on king Macks and snapper. It doesn’t get much easier or quicker than that imo. You can do anywhere from a 4 to 8 hour trip. I highly recommend them.

Deep sea is quick and easy in Destin. You can be fishing a reef in 70’ of blue water within a mile or 2 of the beach. Quick 4 hour charter out of Destin Marina
