Yote for sure.
Yotes, after killing the prey, ALMOST ALWAYS start by eating the arse out of the victim.
Seen it too many times.

And those look like dog bites on the neck/head. Deer was sick/hurt and a pack ran it tired then all latched on the front. Wolves do the same thing. A big cat would be one clean bite.

Yeah, it's just rare for yotes to be able to catch a healthy deer. I know folks have gone back and forth on that on here. I'm sure they can if they're hungry enough, and that deer looks like it was healthy, but I don't think it happens often.

I've seen walker hounds do this when they got to my deer before I did. Must be a canine thing.

I'm shocked it took until page 2, but I'm going with squatch.
That looks like a squatchy powerline.

I do the same thing at home.

When was that picture with the arse torn out taken? When he found it, or after the coyote showed up?
That neck wound looks like a cat, but if it had the arse our of it like that, I'd have to agree that it's a coyote.

looks like a yote kill with the deadly salad toss

That picture was taken right after it was first found. I have spoken with some people who have hunted big cats that say a cat will do that too. That is where the predator can get the most meat the fastest.
I also learned that the carcass was dragged off about 150 yards and the camera was put up.

Could the puncture have been a bullet....ran over there, died and something started eating on it?
