Creating Satellite Imagery for Lowrance

Looking for anybody that might could help me out. I have already been successful at getting some decent imagery to work on my Lowrance HDS Gen 2. Just tested a very small area so far. After reading a lengthy thread here about this, I see many of you were passing around some updated instructions/tips, seeing as to how the main instructional video on doing this is 5 years old. I just want to gather all the info I can so I can make a larger scale image and hopefully be successful at it. Thanks in advance. If someone wants to email that to me like in the other thread my email is jay.robertson7@gmail.com. Thanks in advance for any help!

There's a long thread lower down. Alot of us cannot get past an error when exporting the kml maps. It is not a simple process fyi.

I gave up with Gen 3s. It is hard. Depending on what you’re fishing for I’d say just go fish. I was interested in bass fishing using 2011 drought imagery. But man just put the lure in the water and fish.

@LEASTBAY yeah thanks that is why I mentioned I had already been successful at it. Just got a small area of where I want it for, and it is working great. Thanks to some of the tips in the other thread about zoom and resolution. Just want to duplicate with a larger area now and hopefully everything will work like before. I have put in a good bit of time in and tinkering as it is.

I did make them a few years ago on a larger scale. Now can't get past the export error. Have you dealt with this?

@LEASTBAY Are you referring to the access violation when trying to export .kml file in SAS planet? You just need to change the default cache type to SAS.Planet in settings. That would be as follows:
Settings < Options < Cache Tab < Default Cache Type < Then select SAS.Planet from the drop down menu
Settings < Options < Cache Tab < Default Cache Type < Then select SAS.Planet from the drop down menu
