All waterfowl decoy great when you are where they want to be.......but cranes are infinitely harder to decoy than ducks and geese in the same situation. Especially when they are pressured. I was fortunate enough to decoy cranes when there was no pressure on them and your shite has to be PERFECT. Blinds have to be unseen, decoys have to be in the glide zone, which shifts constantly. If you ain’t moving the spread a couple of times a morning and blinds for the same reason you’re very fortunate. I have also hunted them in the Texas panhandle where they are pursued with a vengeance. Very tough. But yeah, if you are where they want to be it certainly helps....and in my experience they are more predictable in that aspect than ducks and geese.....but pulling cranes is way less likely than pulling ducks and geese...
