I’m not the loser here. Only one thing in this world “like a jellyfish”…. a jellyfish.

I have got one of the tentacles wrapped around my leg once in the gulf, there is no mistaken it arky cousin. it was like getting stung a by a bunch of wasp over and over. The damn floating bag of the thing was probably 30 yards away, I didn’t even see it until I got stung.

It’s right up there with a stingray but not quite as bad. Hurt more at first but with stingrays it hurts significantly worse an hour later. (My dumbass didn’t cut him lose because I wanted my hook back.) Jellyfish it seems like u get stung all at once, these damn things it’s like little stinging bombs that keep going off especially as you try to the tentacles off you.

Trolling is absolutely a way to get lit up right now, that or snapper fishing is when they typically get me. Those stinging tentacles can be way further off from the floating bag then u think.

Talking to the beach chair guy in Orange Beach one year about jellyfish. He said he saw this big muscled up dude come crawling out of the ocean screaming like a baby. He ran over to him thinking a shark must have bit his leg off. The guy had raised welts on his back like he had been hit multiple times with a whip. Ended up being a Portuguese man o' war.
