Who around the BR area has well priced bulk pea gravel? I’m needing around 6 yards delivered. Not sure the going rate for it. It will be used to fill in walkways in my garden.

I’m needing approx 6 yards. My landscape trailer would likely be overloaded due to weight after a yard. I think having it delivered would be preferable just so I dont make 6 trips throwing gravel at cars behind me.

That looks like what I’m after. I’ll check with them. Didn’t think they did bulk gravel.

when I get it I put a blue tarp in the closed back of the pickup and they load over the side of the truck...but 6 yards is a good bit to your point...

The four windshields I bought last year say you are the only person in Baton Rouge with any sense of responsibility on this issue.

I loathe driving behind DIY’ers and contractors with no sense of proper loading/tie down technique. I don’t want to be “that guy” if I don’t have the proper means of securing the load.

Call someone with a dump truck. I have the guy I buy sand from bring my pea gravel. He buys it by the ton from the ready mix company.

I used jim stone in lacombe for 3 yards a few months back. Pretty sure they deliver. I will tell you that 3 yards of wet pea gravel is heavy AF. I didn’t look up the weight of pea gravel prior to going which was dumb on my part. Anyway, I have a 16ft 7000# trailer and it was squatting pretty good. Truck pulled it ok and thank god the trailer has brakes and I didn’t have to go far.

Oh and I laid a huge tarp on the trailer, had the gravel dumped on top, folded it over, and put another tarp over the gravel. As another poster said, didn’t want to be “that guy” slinging rocks

Just a follow up. I went with Jim stone and had 6 yards delivered. They had the best price I could find in the area. $45/yd for pea gravel and $175 for delivery. I don’t think they can haul much more than 6 yards at a time so I was right at the max. Thanks for the input.
