Looking to build an AR15. Has anybody on here ever done this before? Also, what should I know before getting involved in something like this, and what tools are absolutely necessary for building one of these. I know a lot of videos say you should get certain tools, but which ones do you absolutely have to have...!!!

I would buy a lathe and possibly a device to forge steel.

many have attempted, but, all ended in failure.
most of these fellers just go ahead and purchase one of the ultimate weapons..
really, the only decision you have to make is what kind of finish you want on your Judge or 7mm08..

Come to the OB much?
A set of roll pin punches was what I really just couldn't do without. I also got a stock wrench because I scratched the locking ring when I was installing the buffer tube on my first build (tried to use a pair of channel locks .

You can really make do with what you have around the shed right now. Just go through an FFL and buy the lower receiver, then the rest is all catalog. It can be lots of fun, especially now post-ban.

a set of roll pin punches, stock wrench for the lower. a set of pin punches, upper reciever block, barrel wrench. they are not really hard to assemble you can get all this stuff at brownells or midway usa. I can put you in touch with someone that can get you set up if you want.
