Brass height for buckshot loading

Looking to load my own buck shot for fun and because I can make it for about half the price that I can buy it for based on my calculations.
I’m trying to find some hulls for it and so far the ones I’m looking at are 10mm brass for a 2-3/4 shell or about double the brass on a 3” shell. I’m trying to stick to 2-3/4 because that seems more standard for all the recipes I’ve found plus I can stretch the powder And shot further than with 3”. Are the 10mm brass shells fine? Or am I going to get into trouble firing buck shot with low brass? I’m new to this so any info is great.

My managed recoil buckshot has pretty short brass so I think as long as you keep the pressure down it'll be OK. Do the manuals not specify what kind of hull they were using?

You need to get a shotshell reloading manual and read it! The length of the brass on modern plastic shotgun shells means nothing anymore. The days of paper hulls is where the brass length mattered. Active shells have no brass and are completely plastic. When reloading shotshells you must stick to the recipe!!!!!!!!! The hull is not interchangeable!
