Saw that, but when I get to check out, it says they don't have enough inventory to fulfill my order, even if I drop to 1 box

Good advice. I get a free CCL class from the store I bought my gun from, so I'll lbs sure to sign up asap

Plus, in many (most?) states, the requirements and background checks to hold a valid CCL are equal to or greater than the Federal NICS checks when you buy a gun. As far as the ATF is concerned, a valid permit from those states IS your federal check. You hand your ID and permit to whoever's working the counter, they run a simple check of your CCL number to see if it's valid or invalid, you fill out the form 4473 (I am buying this gun for myself, I am not a felon, I am not mentally defective, etc.), and you walk out the store with your shiny new gun (assuming your state doesn't have waiting periods). No feds involved to screw up the process.

It'll streamline the process for you when/if you decide on a second or third (they multiply) weapon.
