I'd get a yak for 30$ a day or 50$ for two days. Even cheaper if I have it a third day.

Yep, what other reason does he have to make it personal?

Probably a lot of competition. Here, most rentals are four tourists as most local yakers have their own. Get more kayak rental places down there and the price will go down.

I understand and agree.

Eta...done posting in a thread promoting someones business who doesn't want to pay for advertising.

Admins should just whack it but I'm not going to RA it.

Are you flipping me off?

Wow, didn't think people actually got offended by forum emoticons!

My apologies if I offended you, it was a lighthearted jab at you saying it was too expensive. The tongue is sticking out for God's sake; it's not serious!
And if you're gonna take offense to a smiley, then I will take offense to you saying I am Bobby Lynn and looking for free advertising. That's absurd; I live in B.R. and just wanted to take my son fishing in a yak!

Anyway, we went this morning and paid the $50 (omg!) for the tandem rental and had a great time in the marsh. My son was hooking into quite a few specks in the morning but after 12 everything got quiet. He had a great time though and we will definitely either be back or be buying our own kayak. Jory, who is the guy who owns the kayaks, not Bobby Lynn, was wonderful to deal with and helped us out immensely.

This isn't a plug for his business even if some people feel the need to say otherwise for whatever reason, but was a great place to rent from and I would do it again tomorrow if I could.

Anyway, cheers!
