I ate one,it was very good.parboiled it with onions and celery in the water..Then cooked it like a roast in the oven.Shredded about half,mixed with barbecue sauce like pulled pork.

In my experience the most sure fired way to get rid of the dam and them is to plant some japanese millet in for a few years, get ducks used to using it and just before the next duck season the dam will implode and they will leave destroying a good duck hole that will never come back again on a dare. That or bust the dam...but they will usually fix that. If they know you appreciate the duck hole they made the contrary frickers will move on after they dismantle their dam.
