Thanks guys. I'm allergic to cats and have a dog so a cat isn't gonna work. Guess I'll look for some of that grub killer and try the pitch fork method in the meantime!

I've tried broadcast pellets from Lowes. It had something in it that they don't like the smell of. It worked but eventually they would come back. I tried poison bait that sort of looked like worms. You put them in active tunnels. I found them to be ineffective.

My mole problem was so bad I felt like Bill Murray in Caddyshack trying to kill that gopher. Had I had dynamite I would have blown up my whole yard.

I got pissed and broadcast insect and grub killer to kill their food source. That did not work for me. When their food was diminished they tunneled 80 times worse in search of food. I finally gave up and just deal with it.

Like others noted cats work pretty good but where I live I couldn't keep a cat running loose around the neighborhood.

I have been really successful using the skewer trap, bought it at Ace hardware....at first I was unsuccessful...then it became a challenge...I had some deer cover scent that smelled like worm dirt...I sprayed the trap prior to placing into the ground over a tunnel and sprayed a bunch in that section of the tunnel after collapsing it with my foot....BINGO! 2 weeks of nothing, started doing that and caught 4 back to back and now they are gone....actually had fun with it, but none have come back....good luck hunting

What is the name of that deer stuff and where did you get it???? Hurry!

And for all you pitchfork method guys: If you have a sprinkler system, DO NOT USE A PITCHFORK TO STAB THE GROUND.

Clamp a hose to your muffler and stick in the hole. That's what a buddy of mine does in Minneapols and swears by it. Says keeps them away until the snow melts the next year.

Honestly don't remember but I mainly shop at academy...it's been in my man room for probably 8 years. I bought the cover scent and didn't want coon pee or anything that smelled gross. It smells like a box of worms honestly...think it was called earth cover scent...I really used it to mask human scent and I think in the end it was attracting them with the worm smell

I hear mole cream works pretty good if applied liberally to affected areas
