Best fly rod and reel set up for 200-300 dollars

need more detail - what kind of fishing are you going to be doing?

Mostly for bass and bream and occasional redfish

I'd suggest a 7wt for that purpose then. Don't know how profficient you are with a fly rod yet but it's alot easier to learn on a slower action rod. Maybe a Sage Vantage paired with an okuma SLV reel. Would also check out St. Croix imperials

I suggest you get a 6wt, 9 foot, 4 piece rod and put 7wt or 8wt weight forward floating line on it. I cast all of my flyrods better with overloaded lines.
