Best adhesive for deer skull(cap) to wood?

So short story, i have some deer skull caps (as i call them) and they need to get mounted to some wood. Will basic liquid nail work just fine? The wood will be shaped to sit inside the skull cap for further mounting purposes.

I would scuff up the smooth surfaces inside the skull with a dremel or something, but as long as you get some glue between porous parts and wood, prettymuch anything should work.

I've used this on a lot of things JB Clear Weld just never bone to wood.
