do not, under any circumstances, buy anything with a spinning blade from Harbor Freight.

get the best table saw you can afford. I went with a cheap skill and as I made bigger projects I found it just too small to do much with. my first power tool was a miter saw and it also gets alot of use. band saw not so much for me. get a drill press too if you plan on drilling lots of holes, doing it by hand sucks and can be dangerous if your workpiece starts slinging around. I eventually got a router and table but not that much use out of it. My latest were a planer and a jointer. You will need a bunch of good different sized clamps and a good straight edge. those things got me through 90% of my projects. you will also need some type of sander. I got both a hand orbital sander and a bench top sander. you really only need the orbital. And I agree 1000% with the above post....DO NOT BUY ANY POWER TOOLS FROM HARBOR FREIGHT. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
