Not “flush” mounted but I wanted to be able for my cover to hold a load so I went with the diamondback.

Diamond back is legit! I bought one for the wife’s Colorado. It doesn’t leak, very secure and can carry weight on top. Downside is $$ was $1600 for a midsize

Once hunting season comes I put on an ARE camper shell. That fb marketplace camper shell find camper shell is some of the best hunting money I have ever spent. Won't own another vehicle without one during hunting season

I installed a “Decked” drawer system recently in a regular cab Tacoma and will soon put a camper shell on. I’ll grab a used one as well. For years we used a full size SUV and it spoiled me with the ability to leave all my gear in a dry and secure place.

The Decked system is weather resistant and is fine without anything over it, but I’ll probably do just like you do and have tonneau cover when hunting season is over.

A while back several here recommended a Tyger for a lower-cost option. Wanted to give the T5 a try, but it's been out of stock for a while now. Can't find one for me 2016, 5.5' bed F150.
