Bass Fishing - Belle River Area

I have been invited to participate in a Bass tourny in the Pierre Part area. I only Bass fish a couple times a year as I have a camp in G.I. and where I spend most of my fishing time. At one point of my life, I was an avid Bass fisher, so not completely lost. Seeking some advice on what methods and baits should be optimum at this time. Was planning on fishing Belle River south towards Lake Palourde and maybe Lake Verret, unless someone tells to do otherwise. Any help is appreciated. Help an old guy out.

I bet they are still shallow. Most have probably spawned out, but still may have a few spawning. I'd fish around trees and stumps, hit dead end canals as well. Try and find decent water. Throw frogs and buzzbaits early and then jigs /worms and maybe even chatter baits
