anyone have any experience with these? I'm looking at one (19ft cuddy) and wondering how it will do a couple miles out in the gulf. I'm trying to find opinions on line and cant get too much. It's not a deep-v style hull

its basically this boat

I'm new to boat ownership/captaining (but not boating) so I don't really know how to interpret the hull design as to how it will perform

hard to say. especially not being a deep v on boat that size. i would probably do it on calmer days.

Anything 19’ I’d be nervous to take to far out in the gulf. The Ponchatrain, immediate areas around GI, PAC, etc., you’d be good to go.

Also, she looks heavy. Check her power to make sure you have adequate hp. Few thing worse than to be under powered when a squall kicks up.

1600lbs dry weight. Arimas were designed to be powered by smaller hp motors

Yeah. From what I read, you pay for it in a rough ride if it's choppy, but it's a fairly stable fishing platform.

Im guessing itd be perfect for protected water but slightly miserable even following the coast of the gulf

I think the cuddy would be too hot for our climate. Plus it takes up fishing room
