If you do go with a used one, take some cotton balls with ya. Rub them all over the limbs. If it catches on any fibers, then sit the bow down and walk away. Pretty good practice to do this on new bows as well. Just a lil fyi

What is the point of this? Is it to see if it was dropped or thrown down?

Would a 2005 or 2006 Matthews be a decent bow (assuming its been kept in good condition). I've got a old PSE that I've have for at least 10 years, probably longer. I want a new bow but know I'd probably end up hunting a couple weekends out of the year so I can't really justify dropping a ton of coin on something new.

Beginning of limb failure for whatever reason. Drop, dry fire etc.

No bueno. That is something good to know since my buddy wants bow only this year. Once I get rid of this stripper addiction, I guess I am gonna have to step it up.

I have shot my bow(15yr old PSE) thousands of times and it doesn't have and cracking on it yet.

Also, if the draw length needs to be adjusted, how hard is it to do by changing the cams?

The draw length on the bow I'm looking at will probably need to be changed, but the guy said the cams are not adjustable and must be changed out. How hard is that? I know the bow shop will have to do it, but how much will new cams cost?

You'll probably have to look around online for the cam you need. Probably cost $50 or so

Don't buy from bass pro. Go to an actual archery shop. Look on archerytalk and you'll get a good deal, some new most are used. I actually just bought another used one and no problems at all
