Did it just start doing this after you changed the ball joints and axel u joints?
It was before I changed them. Both sides has some movement so I changed them hoping that would fix it. Just a couple more parts and I will have a completely new front end lol.

The OB definitely came through for me. I really appreciate the Searchers suggestion. I dropped the Jeep off today and spoke with Phillip. He is extremely knowledgeable and really took the time to discuss the issues and explain the geometry of the Jeep’s front end. He definitely made me feel confident that he can get the Jeep driving correctly.

I have an adjustable trackbar so I don’t think it’s the trackbar itself, but may be the drop bracket for the trackbar. The ball joints and axel u joints are new, it’s been aligned and wheels balanced last week. So no clue what’s still causing DW unless it’s the trackbar mount.
From personal experience, the overall symptom is most likely due to a combination of slight deficiencies in multiple elements of your suspension system. Changing or adjusting one at a time is not going to fix UNLESS you know exactly what the cause is. Even at that, the deficiency in one element can quickly cause damage to others.
What type/brand ball joint do you have on it?
Also, you didn't mention DW in the original post, but you brought it up in this one. Is it REALLY legitimate death wobble? Or is it just drift?
Searchers will definitely "fix" it but beware of the upsale.

Can I ask what he recommended as a fix?

He actually came out and talked to me for about 45 min. He said that just because it’s a lifted Jeep doesn’t mean that it should ride like crap.
He is going to inspect it further, but he is pretty confident that the issues I’ve been having are all based on geometry issues with my front end. He explained it really well by saying that with the geometry of the parts are basically fighting my power steering.
I also showed him a video of my trackbar mount and how it flexes - what I thought was only a very small amount - he said it was it was way too much movement (as in there should be none) and it easily cause some of my issues.
We talked about the crappy rough country lift that was on it when I got it and he will look at it. I told him I’m not opposed to replacing if it will make it drive better.

Yep, Rough Country lift is always a selling point. I will predict the recommendations.
1. New lift system
2. Metalcloak steering system
3. Ball Joints replaced
BTW, which ball joints do you have on now? You said you replaced them recently. Curious.

Sorry I missed you earlier post. The ball joints are just Crown ball joints. I didn’t get upgraded ball joints or anything.
As far as the DW, it’s definitely DW. Happens at 45mph+ and only after hitting a significant bump (especially if it’s in a slight turn). It will only stop if I slow down to 5mph or less. The first time it happened I thought I lost a tire or something.
I can pretty much reproduce it every time on a bump by my house.

Curious what's the latest on this issue.

I’m changing out the stabilizer tomorrow. I’m hoping that will help with the driving portion. The steering wheel itself still has about 20 degrees of play in either direction before the tires turn. Do you think the stabilizer would help that too?
Buy the most expensive SINGLE TUBE stabilizer that you can afford and it will do wonders. I daily drive a gladiator with 40” tires and the steering stabilizer on these things is as important as any other part of suspension.
Don’t know why as they don’t look like much but they hold these front ends together in a way that makes you scratch your head with disbelief because they shouldn’t be that important in the grand scheme of things

A steering stabilizer is not the cause of DW, but it can mask it somewhat, he needs to address the cause first. There is a geometry issue in his system caused by aftermarket lift and tires.
