Anyone have a boat dolly? Are they worth a crap?

I have been thinking about getting one to help me combat launch a 12' bateau on the side of the levee to fish a bar pit. I dragged it last time and got a bunch of blisters.
This is one I found online:

I would think something like this would work better so you can store rods and bait inside while hauling it.

You could probably make one for pretty cheap. That way you could cusomize the axle width, etc.. instead of trying to make a dolly designed for a canoe fit on the bateau

I made this one. It is 1" square tubing. You will want pnematic tires.

I'm building one this weekend, Gonna use 10" pneumatic tires with threaded rod for and axle. Attach to a piece of plywood to set the boat on, and cover with old scrap carpet.
Easy DIY project for under 30 bucks. Alot better than spending 60-100 for one that isnt custom fit to your boat.
