Another weed ID Request

My dad has this stuff invading his St. Augustine. I've never seen it before. Does anyone have any idea?

Yep, that looks like lespedeza...I have a load of it in my yard as well. best thing I have found to do is to fertilize and water the lawn well for a couple of years and let it choke that stuff out.

Are you sure your dad has st Augustine grass? Those blades are pretty narrow and almost look like centipede to me.

Yeah, it's St Augustine. Really old St Augustine. Not any of these fancy, schmancy new hybrids. Can't get this shite at the store.

Which is MSM per Google. I used MSM on mine, it turned red and stopped growing.
