Been deer hunting for over 35 years. Have always heard bucks grunt. So I know what that sounds like. However, the last couple years, I have heard it ALOT. Sat morning I had six different bucks grunting around me. The question is, does some other animal sound very similar? It is not another hunter. Private land near Woodville, Ms

How do you know it was 6 different bucks and not the same one tending a doe?

Because when the one started grunting, more grunts started in all directions. It was pretty exciting to say the least

You should snort wheeze next time. Be ready cause the dominate buck is coming while the smaller ones haul arse.

not discounting your intelligence or experience one bit, but in the past years have you had an increase in hogs? I've been hunting for more years than I'm gonna admit, but very often a buck can very much sound like one or more hogs, I promise.

not necessary to buy the snort wheeze call to hear it, the main part consists of and sounds kinda like phew, phew, phew, pheeeeeeeeeeee.

We do have a lot of hogs, but I don't think that's what were hearing. I could be wrong though
