I've had two Honda SP mowers. On the second now but in need of a replacement. I've had this one for about 12 years. I'm seriously thinking of going with a Snapper for the next one. Seems to be better made. Don't get me wrong, Honda mowers are great but I'm liking what I see in the Snapper Snapper P2185020 / 7800980 HI VAC 190cc 3-N-1 Rear Wheel Drive Variable Speed Self Propelled Lawn Mower with 21-Inch Deck and ReadyStart System and 7 Position Height-of-Cut

This one should do a better job of vacuuming clippings with it's design.

IIRC, mine will go 4.5mph. I only top it out if I'm trying to beat the rain

Bought a used self propelled last year, John Deere I think. As others mentioned they can be a pain when not moving in straight lines. However mine has a drive engage right on the handle so I can easily engage and disengage the drive, making it easy to pull backwards and maneuver around things.
