Commander-sized 1911s have a little bit better balance too. Yea, there's a bit more pronounced recoil, but the extra balance is really nice. I'm a really big fan of the new SR1911 Commander. It's on my list.

this is my first 1911 with an external extractor, guess I will see how it compares to my others.

Very nice. The one bapple posted is on my list, but for that price, I would have picked up that gun too. Great choice
