I know a few Hitts and St romains. My grandmother owns Some land right next to Myrtle street. That's where the St romains I know live.
Rabbit hunting is my second favorite hunting besides ducks. Quite a few Years back my dads buddy broke his leg and couldnt make the rabbit hunt. We killed enough rabbits to spell out his name on our wharf of the camp, 15 feet long. His name is Robert

Your dad is 9 years older than mine so they may know each other but probably not. Although my grandpa had and my parrain currently has a mechanic shop in Raceland across from Danos St. so they may have crossed paths a few times

The old carpenter that lives at the front of Myrtle street is my grandmothers brother, their youngest brother was the first US military to die in WW2. Thats my dads side. My moms grandparents lived the next house over, Theriots. I never really hunted there but I always remember seeing lots of doves.

Yeah, it's not ideal rabbit hunting, it's really thick back there. But it's fun to go mess around and they have a few rabbits. My cousin takes care of the land back there cause he has quite an arsenal and shoots back there alot. I never even thought of dove hunting back there. May have to look into that.

My stepgrandfather had a few head of cattle, but passed some time ago. I think my granny leases the land to someone else for cattle. It's on the updabayou side of Myrtle. Do you know that crazyass grabert fellow that lives not too far away?

Not sure of him. I do know that there is a fella on the side of our property that is an a**hole according to my cousin. Always calling the cops on them for shooting on his own property.

Raceland. From Larose here with family in the Raceland area.

Rabbit hunting is one thing I have not ever had great success doing. My dad used to go hunt them on Delta Farm Road in Larose and smoke them.

It takes practice and there is a lot to learn about tendencies of rabbits...where they tend to hide..how they move, etc. Just like everything else. I can't wait to go soon.
