Are you hunting in TN? I hunt in Decatur County. Heard some gobble opening weekend and one distant gobble last weekend. Saw some hens.
I plan to go tomorrow morning.

Good luck.

I just drove through that area Thursday going up hwy 641 to Hazel Kentucky. Saw several turkey off the highway close to Beech River. That is a good looking area. Also drove through Paris Tn. found out they are the home of the Worlds largest fish fry and have a miniature Eiffel Tower.

Giles County
Had no gobblers on Saturday and went on to church on Sunday. Had a long beard in the pasture and another one gobbling below the dairy barn. I ran inside and changed and worked my way around the one in the pasture by walking in the creek and up the edge of the property to get close. He disappeared and so did the one behind the dairy barn.
Gobbling across the road this morning off the property!

Tennessee has backed their season up two weeks. Trying to see if it helps the population.
