What are the OBers thoughts on using 110 grain bullet out of a 270
Depends on which bullet you're talking about. The conventional 270 caliber 110 grain bullets are a varmint bullet and work well for this. I think there are also some newer 110 grain bullets (Barnes??) designed as a hunting bullet. I don't see a purpose for a 110 grain hunting bullet in the 270 as the 130 grain already works just fine.

Depends on the bullet. I've read a ton of reports that the 110 grain Barnes XXX hammers game. Fast, flat, and penetrates like crazy. Pretty common to drop down in weight when handloading the Barnes (120gr 7mm, 130gr .30 cal, etc). Once I get my Rockchucker set back up I plan to try the 100gr in my 260 and 110gr in my 270.

I shoot 120 grain ballistic tips out of my .260 and it hammers deer. The 140 grain got tougher to find a few years ago which prompted me to switch to the 120s. I've never lost a deer. If I hit it on the shoulder, it's going down within 10 yards. If I hit it behind the shoulder, I always get an exit wound and a good trail.
