Either the team that plays there or the name itself. I don't need to know the corporate name if you simply say "the home of LA's most successful basketball team". TBF, they do have the info on their site. However, the point of this was to kickoff the buildup for the whole country and pull people in.

I'm also surprised that we didn't get a "Paris hold my beer" moment with an emphasis on the banning of cars as a way to get to the venues. They've already told businesses that they have to go back to Covid era rules and only essential workers should be on site.

The LA28 handoff on NBC tonight is cringe. Just so fake and plastic. Like an infomercial.

Tom Brady, Venus Williams, Daniel Craig, Snoop, Martha Stewart, that's just some I can name off the top of my head in Paris.

Of course you see celebrities at the Olympics, but it’s going to be shoved in our face in LA.

Well I think we're getting a good idea of the final torch runners. Carl Lewis, Janet Evans, Allyson Felix, Sugar Ray Leonard, Venus's sister, Kareem (if he's still around) and I'll predict Newsome & Bass will push for Rapinoe and Sue Bird to light the torch.

2028 should be in a different American city

This isn’t a bad thing and I don’t think they are doing it for the environmental aspect. It legitimately will make getting around LA much easier.

Williams is forcing this too much. It’s awkward to watch.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing BUT hopefully they've learned something from Paris and don't go full green at the expense of the athletes' comfort.

I’m just saying, having all public transportation isn’t to be green.

Yeah, I think there were much better ways to get people excited about LA2028. A pre produced fake beach concert that had the authenticity of an infomercial wasn’t it.
