I've flipped in onto Fox several random times during the past few days and i've never caught a segment where they are discussing the spill.

Meanwhile, CNN has been on this 24/7.

FOX is a joke.

some on here are talking about "news" and then discussing commentators and panels. there is a difference between news coverage and commentating

I have watched both CNN and Fox and i see hard news segments on both. I also see commentators giving opinions on both. I dont see much difference in the two channels at all

yesterday CNN had Mary Matalin espousing from the Venice docks. Now what she offers to this is a mystery to me

Surely, you aren't saying FOX is ignoring it??? CNN - 24/7!!! Isn't there other news for a NEWS channel to be shoveling out? You DESIRE to watch coverage 24/7 because you live near the effected area - very understandable. You gotta see through a clear lens though, my friend. FOX isn't doing anything wrong here.
CNN is neglecting the stories of Sestack, Hillary yelling the rich still aren't taxed enough, and pertinent updates on the ILLEGAL Immigration battle. What an opportunity for the liberally slanted CNN to ignore stories that cast a negatrive light over a liberal eye.

Fox isn't even showing the BP press conferences.

If Newt Gingrich or Sarah Palin held a press conference, they'd dedicate 4 hours of coverage to it.

Now there's a story on Fox News "Bulls and Bears" where they are speculating that gas will now cost $5 a gallon.

Fox's "panel" to "discuss" this topic includes one
Democratic strategist (black of course) and 5 "investment experts" screaming at her and not allowing her to finish.

More "responsible reporting" on the oil spill from Fox News.

Their oil masters dont want them to cover it, by trashing Obama on this it also trashes oil so their propaganda masters wont let them cover it, instead they need to keep their dumb masses entertained with perv O'Reilly asking dumb broads from their other news shows what they think about abortion and single mothers. Idiocy

CNN is like the Oil Rig Disaster forum on TD.com - dedicated just to that. FOX is more like the political forum - discuss that and other newsworthy topics.
Look, it's fully understandable you want 24/7 coverage since you're in Louisiana but that is not the reason these networks exist.

I flipped over to FOX last night and saw a guest talking about it being the environmentalists' fault for not letting us drill closer to shore.

And that was my monthly, 2-minute visit to FOX news just to remember what a joke it is.

It's funny you should mention this. I have a friend who works for MMS, and he's got the same opinion. He told me that there are plenty of places where drilling could be done in shallow water or even on land, eliminating the technological problems of ultra-deepwater drilling, but those places are not open to drilling.

With all the CNN coverage on the spill you mean they haven't done a story on that yet?

I have given specific instances that show how Fox has failed in their coverage.

Now I dare you to give me SPECIFIC evidence that CNN is Communist, you fricking loudmouth Right Wing douchebag.

I'm so sick of you people saying that people who tell both sides of the story are somehow "unamerican"

Go to any date you choose during election coverage of The Socialist in Chief. You have no ability to decipher information if you can't see the lovefest CNN has for anything liberal. You must be quite happy with the direction America is headed and the direction the oil spill recovery effort is headed.

Look, to even suggest that news operations run by businesses as big as Time-Warner and GE/Comcast is beyond ignorant. Two behemoths of capitalism are going to allow a cable news network they own to be Anti-American? I swear that is beyond stupid.

But Republicans don't think some of the stories they cover are newsworthy to them. So they're Communist, and it justifies a blatantly right-wing competitor that they can't even recognize is biased? Are you people that brainwashed or scared that somebody out there might disagree with your point of view?

Fox is not really a news channel. It is a political opinion forum. Most of their programs are political opinion shows. Although i agree with some of their opinion shows, i wouldnt go there for straight news.
