Not that much anymore. The population of Co Springs to Ft Collins represents about 3/4 of the population, and they lean left on environmental issues. The exception is the batshit insane christians in the springs.
What is true is that oil/gas/mining is the state's 2nd biggest industry.

Sure must be easy to sit on your high horses up in the rockies and look down on a festival that celebrates what has been a way of life for decades. By the way, hope you all enjoy gassing up the SUVs and driving back and forth on I70 every weekend to Aspen or Vail. Sure didn't see too many Hybrids when I was at Copper this year.
