No.

I want the people of my home state to wake up out of their coma and act like they know at least some basic fricking knowledge about economic principles.

Those businesses who fail put all their eggs into one basket.

They'll be done.

The good businesses have diversified.

They won't fail, even with a moratorium. Because they were smart.

I would agree with your logic. The engineering, consulting, design firms, etc that rely on state and local governments for contracts are the ones who will be significantly impacted.

Just look back in history and see what happend during the oil bust. Same story different day only this time it will be worse because we also lost our fishing industry for the most part.

Not trying to flame. How old are you and have you run a business before? More specifically, have you run a business with a particular emphasis, like say, the oil & gas industry?

I was coming home today and passed the brand new LA Boilers on Perkins. I am sure that they were expecting to be serving shrimp and crabs after crawfish had run their course, so add seafood houses to the list. And at some point, it is likely we will run short on GOM shrimp-what are seafood restaurants going to serve-Thai or Vietnamese shrimp?
