Funny how the Federal Goverment has just turned its back on Louisisna for the second time in 5 years and yet the answer is a telethon by CNN? Bull shite.....the answer is giving Louisiana the 50% oil revenue that all other states get except Louisiana...does not matter if the president is balck, white, jew, gentile, gay, straight, rich, poor, etc. the only people who care about Louisiana are either from there or have family there. frick the FEDS and BP...........

I dont think the feds have turned their back on Louisiana. For the first time they are establishing a coastal restoration act. This will help with our many problems. Wetlands are the key for everything in Louisiana and its about time we gave a damn about them.
Also, the feds gave Louisiana 191 BILLION for Katrina. Which has largely kept Louisiana out of the nationwide recession.
Can more be done? Absolutely! I'm tired of lip service from washington, both parties, and want stuff to get done instead of just words.

I always thought it was 191 Billion for TX, MS, LA and AL.
This also included all the overpriced tarps and unusable trailers and all the other government waste.
