All this has got me thinking, how much water would you say was pumped out of the city after Katrina? Im just guessing but I would say more than what has come from this well. And if anyone saw/smelled that water first hand, as I did. I would venture to say that is was just as bad if not more polluted than the oil coming from this well. Not only did you have rotting organisms and raw sewage, but just about every chemical known to man in that water. And guess what is was pumped straight into the river and marshes.

how many cars were underwater?
how many full gas tanks of refined oil?
how much engine oil?
yep, pumping that shite from nola back into the gulf was probably far more damaging..and much closer to the shorline to come rolling back in.

Yup and guess what every thing was fine, all the fish, crabs, shrimps and birds were still alive.

Only time will tell, scientists will examine sea water, marsh, fish, oysters before and after the spill and the data will speak for itself.

Only time will heal it. Thankfully we live in a warm climate. I am reserving final judgement for a few years to see the effects of the dispersed subsurface oil. No telling what may or may not happen with that.
