Because it hadn't been built yet. Plus they had to test it and practice installing it, etc.

The latter. BP does not want to loose a 60 to 80 thousand barrel per day well.

Yes BP is willing to allow this continue to flow so they can collect 60,000 barrels/day that would create less than $5 M/day revenue but continue to spend $50 M/Day on the operation. That makes a ton of sense!! You people are idiots.

They already lost it back in April.
