Thanks ... we'll definitely have to write that down in the "resource folder". He told me the other day that he wants to go to summer school next summer (GOOD physics teacher at ULL in the summer) and after that he wants to intern in the summer ... but maybe closer to home than NO.

Thanks so much.

In 1999 I declared PETE as my major. That summer when oil got down to $11/bbl I started questioning my career path. You are just watching too much TV. I'll tell you the same thing I told my parents that summer: "The oil business is cyclical. You want to get in when its at the bottom, not the top." It has been a good ride for me. Like some of the other people said there is a huge shortage of good geo's. You shouldn't have a problem finding a job.

We're always looking for good geo's, reservoir engineerings, petroleum engineers and facilities engineers....oh drilling engineers as well. Onshore natural gas production has really taken off domestically.

Usually the clients are looking for at least two years exp. But if you have great grades and any co-op exp, possible.

If you have decent grades and arent a complete wackjob then you can get a job right out of school.

although being a little bit off is kind of a requirement for geologists.
