Here's the discussion. 60% change of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hrs.

And, here's the modeling:



On the upside, current intensity forecast has it only a mid-level tropical storm at its height of development.

Purely amateur, although I did correctly call the exact landfall locations for Katrina, Rita, and Gustav 48 hours before they actually made landfall. I missed Ike by 50 miles.

I was "dead on" for Katrina, Rita and Gustav.

My "call" for Ike was off by 50 miles.
