Why isnt BP providing breathing and face masks?
Toxicologist Says Chemicals Harmful, Can Lead To Death
"I've been coughing up stuff," Gary Burris said. "Your lungs fill up."
"It was like sniffing gasoline or something, and my ears are still popping," Burris said. "I'm coughing up stuff. I feel real weak, tingling feelings."
Marine toxicologist Riki Ott said the chemicals used by BP can wreak havoc on a person's body and even lead to death.
Burris said that when he went to a doctor after feeling ill on Sunday, the doctor told him his lungs looked like those of a three-pack-a-day smoker, and Burris said he has never smoked.

I've been supportive of BP and the industry, but this article is the latest in a long series of articles critical of the limey bastards with justification.

Not to mention....several sociologists including some from LSU got federal funding to study the impact on the people.
They started doing door to door surveys and BP kicked them out and ordered them to leave. I got this firsthand information

What people? BP employees? BP has a right to not let the media or anyone else talk to them.

By what authority do they have the right to tell people not to talk. Last time I checked, there's was this little thing in the Bill of Rights called the freedom of speech.
I mean, I know BP is full of limeys and all, but they are in the US now. Who are they to say what people want to say?

If you are on the clock, your employer can tell you not to talk to reporters or other people. Off the clock you can do what you want.

And chances are most of these people are just salivating at the thought of a huge pay-day.

I bet the friction generated by lawyers rubbing their hands together will ignite the vapors.

They can speak all they want, just don't expect to still be employed if you do.
It doesn't matter if you are "on the clock" or not. If you are an employee of a company and you violate their policy, then you can and probably will be fired.
