we were in seagrove beach east of seaside all week and tar balls starting washing up at 3:30 pm yesterday and were still on the beach and in the surf when we left this morning

Left Destin today and have been there since Weds. and no oil or tar balls to speak of. The waters were also clearing up from the algae bloom. Was almost crystal clear this morning. We had a great time. No waits for the restaurants because of all the cancelations.

Well I'm set to leave for Destin on 7/7/10. I'm definitely going to bring my golf clubs just in case.

Sitting at beach in San Destin....Currently no oil. Everything looks great.

Sat-sun-mon-tues..........so far no oil at all.
Beautiful beaches and surf.....people are on the beach, but the crowds are less than normal. Fathers day in the bay there were MANY boats raqfted up on the sandbar....

But....how can this be? Cpt Bengal, who knows everything, says that there is oil everywhere for the rest of our lives!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, no oil, no tar in Grand Isle either!
