This is a video written by Lea Morris, a Gulf Coast native on her vision of the leak. Not too long - almost 5 minutes.

I have mixed emotions. While the damage that has been done to our environment, our wetlands troubles me more then anything, I feel that I would be selfish and short sighted to be content with that anger. The oil field has done much for this country as well as this state. Thousands of families across the gulf coast have depended on the oil field to put food on the table while pumping millions into our economy. Every person in this country depends on the gulf's resources, whether it's the fuel in their transportation or the shampoo they put in their hair. Yes, I'm pissed. I am pissed about many things, the least of which are the greenies using this disaster to push their hypocritical platform.

If any of you can figure out how to fuel our lives and our economy with f'n rainbows and unicorns, then speak up and I'm all in. Until then, put our families back to work in the Gulf, help clean this shite up, and let's fix the problem.

Lea Morris has quickly forgotten what oil has done for her homeland, too. Does she give the Fed a free pass for not engaging in proper shoreline invasion prevention? This chick is grossly misguided.
I'm sick of the politics with this subject matter. Let's get the job done.

I agree. I wish everyone would get their politics off my doorstep. It is so easy to have anger and contempt for a problem that does not impact you. If you are such a gulf coast native you would feel ashamed to belittle the loss of life, jobs, and culture with your own political agenda. I have passions when it comes to politics but I have the decency and grace not to discuss it when this shite is happening on MY shoreline.....what a selfish bitch...please stop with the Drill Baby Drill sarcasm too...we all fill our cars up weekly. Rant Ends. Sorry
