just something that hit me over the weekend.....

the one good thing that may come of this is since the oyster beds in st bernard and east side plaquemines will probably be screwed up, it's a good opportunity to open up the carnevorn syphon and get some silt in that area to help rebuild some wetlands.....

If it gushes for 90 days, they may have remove the Mississippi levees south of NOLa and let it flush the whole lower boot. This has always been a solution for replenishing the marshes, but not politically viable. I hope this isn't the case though, and we make it through this without having to abandon Louisiana cities.

on the east bank....i think anything south of pointe ala hache should be opened up.....on the west bank.....simply open up the empire canal locks and install a couple of syphons in other places.........
