Antibody testing won’t show whether you had covid or not. Antibody positive results are only showing up in roughly 23% of all covid positive patients. The testing is either faulty or the antibodies are sticking around in people’s bodies.

That’s another whole twist if this is accurate.

Immunology (antibody production) isn't as simple as it seems. The first exposure produces a different molecule than subsequent exposures. You've probably heard about allergenic reactions getting worse such as shellfish allergy. That first molecule that is made doesn't stay around in high numbers but the second one does. This might be part of the reason for not being positive for antibodies. That's the simplest explanation I can give to non science people.

Thanks. I’m not asking for advice, I was just wondering if this happened to anyone else. Maybe I didn’t make that clear

Covid is one of many, many reasons you might have had a brief fever.

I’ve never had a brief fever before. Apparently it’s more common than I realized.

March 07-09, 2020.

Fever started with coughing on Saturday, March 7. Sunday...could not work. Fever peaked at 101.5 F. Fever was down to 99.2 F Monday at noon. Coughing continued for three weeks.

Took antibody test in Gonzales on May 07.

Result : Negative.

For what it’s worth - It’s not a foolproof test. It’s possible to have had the virus, and test negative.

Here, a low grade fever, just one or two degrees, and a loss of taste and smell were the most common symptoms.

Patients just didn’t get very sick.
