I know WWE likes the simple tunnel entrances for the big stadium shows these days. But I wish they’d do something big for SummerSlam
They can actually fill all 4 sides of a stadium. Unlike oh say a little over 2 sides of an arena.

Speaking of 2 Sides Wrestling...
quote:

In an interview with GQ Sports discussing his new documentary on Peacock, Cody Rhodes described leaving AEW as the easiest thing he ever did. The real reason why Rhodes left the company remains a secret as both he and Tony Khan decided to not speak about it although Rhodes said it was a personal issue. Asked by GQ if it was hard to close that chapter in his life considering he helped create AEW from the ground up, Cody responded, "No, it was the easiest thing I ever did. It's because I had a personal issue that I wasn't going through, over, or around. I was just going to steer clear of it." He added that he wants to look at what he did over at AEW and see it as a wonderful time and beautiful memory but it was time to move on. "You know, all good things. It certainly was like that with me. So I mean it not in a negative way, like I was happy to burn rubber and speed out, but it just wasn't a decision that was difficult for me at all. Or for Brandi," he continued. American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes is streaming now on Peacock.
I wonder who he is talking about. I can't remember if his issue was with Olivier and the Cucks. You'd think Shad's kid would see who is responsible for the big problems in the company (hint: it isn't Cody or Punk).

Big E has been advised by his surgeon to retire.

It's not uncommon at all for the initial doctor to advise this then later on once they better understand how wrasslin works they give a diffeeent answer. Happened to HBK, Austin, and several others. Granted it's a lot different than it used to be as far as the doctors they use

Only two things I figure it might be

1. Something about how Brandi was handled. Maybe just how she was used or maybe someone treated her in a way he objected to and Khan wouldn't step in

2. Khan promised him more control than he ended up having and it was a deal breaker for him

Brandi was the issue, not the Elite. Tony realized she was a complete idiot even by AEW standards and wanted to keep her as far away from the women's division as possible.

Kairi Saine is supposed to be coming back. Don't know if it will be tonight though.

As I posted I could easily see it being something Brandi related but it would sort of be a shame if it was over her influencing the women's division given how lame that division has turned out

Couldn't really be worse

I have forgotten what Kairi looks like, do you think you could post a nice picture of her to remind me G? I'd hate for her to show up and me not know who she is!

LOCk of the night is Roman wins. Not sure how, but it will end up just like every other major show when he wrestles by himself.

I'm assuming Jimmy is a given and not a surprise. I struggle to think of anyone who would make an impact tonight. There's a huge longshot with Orton. I think most likely is a JD shake-up with Bray taking over and laying out Finn to help Priest cash-in. I don't think there's a spot tonight for them but I think we'll see the return of the IIconics on Monday.

Those would be my 4 picks. The IIconics could be the final piece for a really good women's tag division.

OTA: With it being in Detroit I think there's a high chance McAfee makes an appearance.
