so I'm hoping that Marty Scurll's new ROH contract can be the start of something huge

like the reports of him being in this top management role in ROH could perhaps spur some coming together of AEW, ROH, & NJPW

No, he's been a road agent for at least 3 years. I believe he was with/under Arn until Arn's firing. He took a shite ton of heat for lazy producing and no women at both house shows the weekend of the first (2018) Women's MiTB match. I heard from someone who went to both that it was the same exact show even down to something as small as Dolph rolling around in the ring during the match as a joke. Needless to say, that soured me on the whole house show experience. PPV and TV is obviously a bit different.
