Back in the day the Golden Triangle flew those little turboprops to Atlanta where you had to board/disembark from the tarmac. Regal had such a distinctive look and gait that I could tell from two planes down that he was coming back home from a Nitro show. I didn't care to yell anything over the noise of the planes and stand out.
I met Shawn and Marty at a stereo shop appearance during their AWA days. It's a shame that Marty has so many demons because he was the better of the two during their title run. The WWE guys stayed in the Hyatt before a house show while we were also there. My dad walked up to the BBM (at the time he was partnered with Akiem in the house circuit program against Hogan and I believe Savage or Warrior) as he was looking up and said something about watching for bird shite. We'd go to the house shows and got to know security... always got there early and we'd usually shoot the shite. They didn't even use the bike rack barriers then. Just the pole setup. Got to check out the ring a few times. Heard about the new arrival Taker having to soak his head before coming out because it was so damn red and curly. And we knew before the taping even happened about a backstage fight that led to a firing/arrest (not going to say which.) I miss those old territory days (including the beginning of their WWF/WCW consolidation.)
