Issue I see, is that they capture it. Then what do they do with it? They put it back downhole. But they have to transport it to the injection site. Then activists stop the transmission project.
That is exactly what is happening up here in the midwest. Ethanol facilities want to pipeline the CO2 to the injection sites in Wyoming. Right now, they truck it and rail it. Pipeline would be more efficient and safer, but activists have effectively scared the population from laying a CO2 pipeline. Most people I have talked to about this think it is deadly. More deadly than anything else going through some of the pipelines in this country, yet they are totally unaware of how the CO2 gets from one location to another today.
