My marriage lasted 27 years. Been divorced ten. In looking back over things, ....... no way. Three major things I learned ....... she wasn't my friend .....I couldn't trust her (no way I could now) .... when middle age crisis hits it changes things and sometimes it simply is not repairable. While I hated losing the relationship, so much damage was done at the end that there was/is no way to repair it. The person I knew at the beginning of the marriage was NOT the person I realized she had become near the end of the marriage.
